染-Next Chapter-was held from Oct. 31st through Nov. 4th at the Kyoto Museum of Crafts and Design in the basement level of the Miyako Messe.

It was very fun to see brand new works created by local artists. These are some of the most beautiful kimonos and obis being produced today. The pieces were fully painted, but not fully stitched together. The kimonos on display weren't tailored and the obis were still on the roll. There were full fabric bolts on display as well, making you wonder what they'd look like as finished kimonos.
