Retro 1970s Silk Tomesode - Black Embroidered Duck Hexagon Fading Hand Painted Tortoise Shell Kikko
This unique tomesode features two Japanese ducks, presumably hanging out around the various flowers portrayed in order to find some delicious food.
Hexagon patterns, also known as tortoise shell ("kikko"), are prominently featured as well, with the ducks both being inside of them. You can see that the white duck is in a lake or river, as it is on top of the water wave patterns.
This one also has a hiyoku, which is the extra thick layer of fabric at the bottom, which adds extra protection to the outer layer.
Sleeves (top to bottom): 49cm
Armpit to Armpit (back): 60cm
Chest (along the back fold): 114cm
C - Some signs of age and use may be seen. The black fabric shows signs of fading. There is a stain in the middle of the back. (Outside)
